What to Expect from our Service
Whether you are booking a one off assessment, planning a weekly goal directed therapy block or booking intensive therapy intervention over the school holidays, we pride ourselves in ensuring the process is efficient, effective and tailored to your baby/child.

CONTACT US/BOOK APPOINTMENT
If you are unsure if Empower Movement can help your child, please use the CONTACT US form on our website and a member of our therapy staff will arrange a call with you. We also have priority appointment slots available for babies/children who require more urgent time sensitive assessments or intervention.

PRE-ASSESSMENT FORM
We like to start gathering all the relevant information and planning your child's therapy session before we meet in person. Once you book the initial assessment appointment, you will receive an online information form to fill out. This equips your therapist with medical and treatment background information and helps keep the focus of the clinic appointment on your child.

IN THE CLINIC
The in person portion of an Initial Assessment can take between 90 mins to 2 hours to complete. Depending on your baby/child we split this into 2 separate appointments or complete in 1 appointment. Our gym is big, bright and filled with lots of toys and equipment so it is uniquely suitable for paediatric therapy. We complete a tailored assessment based on presenting concerns, possible diagnosis and information provided on the pre-assessment form. There is lots of space for all parents and/or guardians to attend with the child.

VIDEO & THERAPY PLAN
We often take videos during assessments and later during treatment sessions. You will have completed a media consent form detailing this when booking. We use these videos to analyses your baby's/child movement further. This helps us make recommendations, set joint goals and formulate a therapy plan. We also video exercises and upload these to a protected share drive which you and your therapist have access to. You can then follow your child's tailored video home exercise programme at home.
